Product Description
The Press-T is flash-rotating bracket. It is light, compact and fast handling with swinging flash arm to keep the flash centered over the lens for both horizontal and vertical compositions. This bracket does not require the use of a cable release. The Press-T is a slightly shorter and more compact version of the Pro-T. Popular with photojournalists and other shooters who work out of a camera bag.
Amazon.com Product Description
Among Stroboframe's lightest and fastest professional flash rotating brackets, the Press-T features a pivoting, machined flash arm that centers the flash above the lens, creating picture-perfect horizontal and vertical compositions. Unlike conventional brackets, the Press-T lets you hold the camera rather than the bracket, providing a more natural way of shooting. It also allows you to switch between horizontal and vertical compositions instantly. The solid machined aluminum construction, meanwhile, is lightweight and rigid, ensuring superior balance in the hand. Other details include an integral quick-release (QR) plate that mates to an optional QR receiver for quick tripod mounting, full compatibility with accessory battery packs or motor drives, and a nominal lens-to-flash distance of 10 inches. The Press-T, which stands 7 inches tall and weighs 11 ounces (a perfect size for camera bags), works with all Stroboframe flash mounts, anti- twist plates, and quick-release accessories.

Word of caution, you WILL need a camera anti-twist plate AND a flash anti-twist plate. If you can't find one for your flash, I suggest you make one, I made one out of a washer, works great. Also you'll need to remove the pop out support leg, as it does more harm that good (it gets in the way of larger lenses and has a tendency to rub against your fingers). Also be prepared to have to re tighten the point where the bracket meets the bottom, it does and will get loose from time to time. Try some lock-tight to help.Once you start using a bracket that swings OVER your hand, not under it. You will never go back to lesser brackets. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful A MUST for Portrait Photos, Is5410 (Rochester, NY) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Stroboframe Press-T Flash Rotating Bracket (Electronics) I got this for Christmas (although I picked it out) to work with my Nikon D40 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens (mainly with Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR [Vibration Reduction] DX Lens) and Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras. The great: 1. The design!!! I searched high and low and I love the natural motion that this bracket provides. I hold the camera and rotate the camera counter-clockwise (photographer's perspective) while still... Worded "nodoxy" (Ontario, CA United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Stroboframe Press-T Flash Rotating Bracket (Electronics) Takes some getting used to. You don't place the camera in a traditional position. The camera does wiggle while working and there is a special plate you can buy for this. You may have to tighten the bolt on the elbow of the arm or it will flip out of control and pinch a finger. You can quickly position flash for horizontal or vertical. Your flash head will be vertical if arm is up. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $80 on a bar that moves your flash a few inches above your camera but I am happy I bought it. |
