I was looking to add another Nikon flash, either SB-700 or SB-910 but was somewhat dismayed by significant price increase of these new units over previous series of Nikon flashes. Then I saw this unit on Amazon and decided to take a chance to see if it can serve as a serviceable remote slave flash unit.Well, you can't get remote TTL in slave mode, unlike a Nikon flash unit, but it can be used as a manual slave in S2 setting. Bad thing about this is if someone else is using a flash to take pictures near you, their camera may trigger your slave flash. Therefore, it's a no go with Nikon CLS. You'll have to use separate wireless transmitter/radio trigger in manual setting to use it as effective remote flash unit. As a stand-alone unit, it works flawlessly with Nikon DSLRs in TTL mode. With Coolpix P7000, TTL DOES NOT work but it will fire in manual mode. The dial on...
