I am digital photography student who uses it with a Nikon D7000. The flash breaks apart really easy. Is a cheap one but, it falls apart and is not so good for really dark environments. I did not see the capabilities on it to add more light when I needed it. I did much better by shooting with my in cameras flash. The TTL isn't all that accurate, but with the camera in manual, I use the exposure bias to control the flash output and this has been working great because it goes from -5 to +5 with 0.3 increments, so there's a lot of variability. Also, just to point it out because it's not explicitly stated in the product description: there are no external manual controls on the flash itself, which means if you want to fire it wirelessly off the camera, it will always fire at full power.
